Hansen & Søn A/S - Tricolore - is a middle-sized Danish transport- and logistics company with Europe as the main work area. O ... ur main focus is land transport Ever since the establishment in 1916 the company has been family-owned. And we have kept ourselves on land where our main focus is to deliver the goods safely by truck and rail. We let others deal with transportation by ship and plane - since no one can be just as good at everything. Logistics has throughout the past years become an increasing activity, and today we offer warehouse / logistics solutions of very high quality. The specialisation creates extra strength Our specialisation through many generations of course means that we have worked up a very important expertise in rural transportation. That is why we can now offer our customers the most rational distribution solutions when it comes to the European markets. It all began with horse power The starting signal for the later Hansen & Søn I/S - Tricolore - went in 1916 in Rødkærsbro in Mid Jutland where Niels Peter Hansen established a local transport company with horse-drawn carriages. A few years later the trucks came and really got the business going. In the 1950's the company - apart from contractor haulage - began to do trans- ports in Scandinavia and Southern Europe. Later on both the northbound and the local activities were sold off and in 1978 the company moved to Padborg to devote itself to southbound transports - primarily to and from France. The company is still owned by the family and is today run by the founder's grand son, manager Hardy Hansen. Our competence today • Transport 300 modern lorries with trailers are driving daily for Tricolore on the European roads. Tricolore is specialized in transport services to and from Europe where the biggest markets are France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Austria and Switzerland. read more
