Hamer Motors was founded by Leland Hamer in April 1939 as a gas station, repair facility and car sales lot. In 1965 he was approched by Toyota Motor Sales to become the first exclusive Toyota Dealer in the United States, meaning that he would have to drop all other makes that he was selling. Mr Hamer took a chance on the new company and has been a successful Toyota Dealer ever since. Today Hamer Toyota has grown to include facilities on both the east and west sides of Sepulveda Boulevard at San Fernando Mission Boulevard.
