GRACE is the Graduate School for PhD researchers of the KIT-Center Climate and Environment at the Karlsruhe Institute of Tech ... nology (KIT). It is the goal of GRACE to provide to its PhD researchers not only highly specialized and interdisciplinary knowledge but also important key skill qualifications. In cooperation with • the Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS), • the Karlsruhe School of Elementary Particle and Astroparticle Physics: Science and Technology (KSETA), • the Helmholtz Research School on Mechanisms and Interactions of Climate Change in Mountain Regions (MICMoR), • the Helmholtz Interdisciplinary Doctoral Training in Energy and Climate Research (HITEC), • the Technical University of Darmstadt and • the Australian-German Climate and Energy College at the University of Melbourne a wide range of possibilities for study and research will be made available. A personalized concept for each graduate is meant to guarantee appropriate assistance in obtaining a high quality qualification. PhD researchers will at all times get individual support from a personal steering group (PSG) composed for example of the research group leader and an advisor as well as a theme related tutor. Internationalism is one of the fundamental concepts of the Graduate School GRACE, which is explicitly promoted.
