(GRAS) was established in 1998 to promote professional development and social networ ... king amongst past and present graduate recruits from the Victorian Public Sector (VPS). GRAS provides a range of professional development support for our members. Past events have included alumni speaker events; seminars on topics such as career progress and mental health in the workplace; and facilitated networking evenings. GRAS organises an opt-in monthly coffee roulette to support our members in building a strong professional network across the VPS. GRAS also supports the well-being and social networks of our members. GRAS organises an annual ball as well as a welcome barbeque for new graduates. Other social events include hosting weekly Friday night and Monthly meet-ups, end of rotation drinks (for GRADS graduates completing their three departmental rotations) and ski trips. A weekly email bulletin, Facebook group and Instagram page allow GRAS to communicate with our wider membership through various platforms. GRAS is also in the process of developing a website, for release at our 20th Anniversary Event on 2 October 2018. GRAS is a not-for-profit organisation that has no political affiliation and does not directly form part of the VPS, resulting in a unique network that spans across many departments and business units in the VPS and beyond.
