The GBACP is a 16-we ... ek graduate professional education program that covers all the major types of analytical techniques and methods used in data-driven decision-making in organizations today. The program is broad and comprehensive, covering methods ranging from traditional Statistics, Optimization, Decision Analysis, Forecasting and Simulation to cutting edge data management methods, Business Intelligence, Data Mining and Machine Learning, Web and Social Media Analytics and Data Visualization. It is taught by fulltime professors of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, who bring in expert knowledge of business analytics methods that they teach in the Cox School’s MBA, MSBA, EMBA and BBA programs. And third, the participants gain not only conceptual knowledge, but also hand-on experience with the methods that are covered, using widely-used software tools; sessions are taught in a computer lab, and participants leave each session with knowledge they can apply immediately, even in their current positions. The program attracts participants ranging in age from 21 to 65+ in roles ranging from Analysts (Business, Financial Marketing, Operations and HR) to CxOs, small business owners and consultants. In addition to learning from the instructors, participants also benefit from peer learning and networking with other participants.
