Glentoran Football Club is a Northern Irish Football Club founded in 1882. The team plays in the Danske Bank Premiership, the ... highest level of football in Northern Ireland, under the auspices of the Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL). Based in East Belfast, the Club’s rich heritage and success grew hand in hand with the industrial growth of the city including the Harland & Wolff shipyard and what is now the Bombardier aircraft factory. A high number of the clubs fans and players worked within these industries, under the backdrop of the two famous cranes.
