Their main line of work was plaster which was the premier ceiling and wall building material used in the United States at that time. In 1946 and their forth generation in business George Weis Company expanded their market to drywall installation, taping, acoustical tile ceilings, spray-fireproofing, and light gauge steel studs. Additionally, as alternative to stucco, EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finish System) transformed into the exterior finish of choice for many projects. This enable commercial construction to have an alternative to brick and stone; with providing greater flexibility in design and affordability.
