GISD is an NCA-AdvancED accredited intermediate school district. Our mission describes a commitment to providing high quality programs and services, and includes standards that guide GISD's continuous improvement efforts. GISD serves a region with nearly 66,000 students and 8,500 educators. Its primary service area consists of the 21 public school districts and 15 public school academies (charter schools) in Genesee County, Michigan.
