GEDOK – FEDERATION OF WOMEN ARTISTS AND PATRONS OF THE ARTS The GEDOK federation consists of 23 regional associations in Germ ... any with more than 2.800 members. GEDOK represents the interests of women artists of all areas of creativity: fine arts, crafts, original design, interdisciplinary arts, music, literature, the performing arts, dance and art of recitation. It organizes exhibitions, symposia, readings, concerts, competitions in music and composing. It awards prizes in literature, fine arts and crafts and publishes catalogues, documentary books, musical compositions, CDs and DVDs. Women artists seeking to join GEDOK must have their work evaluated by a jury and apply at one of the regional associations. The women artists are actively supported by the group of Patrons of the ARTS, both men and women, and members of that same association. GEDOK is a recognized charitable organisation, all members work benevolently.
