Born in 1977, Björn represents the younger generation of star chefs, extremely devoted to his profession. Founded in 2008, Re ... staurant Frantzén earned its two stars after only two years in business. After being closed for over a year the restaurant re-opend on new premises in August 2017. The new Frantzén restaurant now allocates three floors of a historical 19th century building in the central city. Despite the fivefold increase in space compared with the old restaurant, the intimate seating of 23 guests remains the same. Aside from his passion for cooking, Björn has always been very engaged in charity. In November of 2017, Björn will host a once-in-a-lifetime dinner event featuring seven of Europe’s most renowned chefs, with a total of 14 Michelin stars all to benefit the The Swedish Child Diabetes Foundation. The Frantzén group has established a collection of award-winning restaurants and bars as well as initiated several projects to support quality assurance in the food industry throughout Sweden. The Group’s establishments take up almost a block of Gamla stan, Old Town, Stockholm, as well as recent expansion to downtown. Aside from Restaurant Frantzén, The Group also includes Studio Frantzén, a test kitchen for private events and guest performances, Corner Club, a cocktail bar with a menu curated by the season, the wine bar Gaston, and the gastropub The Flying Elk. The group also includes four establishments within the upscale department store NK (Nordiska Kompaniet) in the heart of downtown Stockholm. Here you can explore Bobergs Matsal, Salongen, Botanique and Nordiska Kantinen. read more
