The mill employs over 300 workers and has a production capacity of ~ 173,500 tonnes (ADMT) of specialty cellulose, also known as dissolving pulp. Fortress Specialty Cellulose pulp sales are primarily to the rayon/viscose industry with a geographic focus on markets in Asia. The mill operates a 24 MW cogeneration facility that produces sustainable green energy from biomass, supplying power to Hydro Quebec.
