By way of innovation Foppen started to produce moderate amounts of smoked salmon at the end of the 1980’s and were surprised by the demands by customers response both for quantity and variety, which exceed Foppen expectations and opened the door to new and exciting opportunities. In 2006 Foppen started a new production line of grilled fish products, among which grilled salmon, tuna and shrimps. Quality is a key factor underlying Foppens success.
