Our pediatric sub-acute unit, just one of six in California, serves patients from throughout the state. This system enables our patients to receive information about their care through on-screen live interpreters and has the capability to communicate in 120 languages, including American Sign Language. If the information is technical, it can be typed on the screen to help ensure patients understand the instructions.
