Florida Coastal is accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA), and in addition to its residential J.D. program, the school also offers three fully online LL.M. programs. Florida Coastal is one of a handful of law schools offering online programs that currently holds accreditation by the ABA. The 24-credit LL.M. in Logistics and Transportation educates students on the laws surrounding the logistics and transportation industry by offering courses taught by leaders in the industry. Rather than focusing on only one segment of the industry (for example, maritime law), our curriculum addresses the legal and regulatory framework governing all modes of transportation (including maritime, trucking, rail, and aviation). Courses also include coverage of laws related to Customs, Government Contracts & Procurement, and Employment. The 26-credit LL.M. in General Law Studies provides a path for bar eligibility for both foreign-educated attorneys and graduates of non-ABA accredited law schools. It also provides an opportunity for all attorneys to expand their knowledge of U.S. laws and the legal system, and also obtain specialization in various fields. This Program also offers a fully residential, on-campus option. The LL.M. in U.S. Law for International Lawyers provides a comprehensive overview of U.S. law and the U.S. legal system. It also provides a path to eligibility for international lawyers considering bar admission in California and Washington states. Florida Coastal was the first law school in the country to offer an entirely online LL.M. in U.S. Law for International Lawyers. Florida Coastal’s LL.M. programs are open to any student who has already obtained a first degree in law.
