We are a FIRST Robotics Team that is sponsored by the Atholthon High School Technology Boosters based in Columbia, Maryland. ... Since 2007, we have grown to a team of over 80 active student members and 30+ mentors. Students have the opportunity to participate in our training programs, outreach events, and competitions all year round. Funds from generous corporate sponsors contribute to our annual budget of approximately $40,000+. Students that participate are learning far more than just robotics. These students are learning work-life skills that build confidence and will pave the way for the future. The students receive mentoring from industry experts and are learning a combination of technical/engineering skills including leadership, project management, and business operations. The community also benefits from the presence of this team through outreach events. The students attend local STEM events and showcase their projects to teach younger students.
