FINNEX e.V. has pledged itself to the cause of financial education, networking and personal development. The idea is to provide every student at the NORDAKADEMIE with the ability to learn about the fundamentals of investments and why they are important. The current financial situation in Germany warrants, that German citizens need a better understanding of financial markets and how to not only handle financial decisions and their personal finances but also how to then invest towards personal goals or retirement. A better understanding of financial markets lowers the barrier for personal investments and reduces unprofitable long-term savings on checking accounts. As part of our educational program, our members learn the fundamentals of capital markets and stock market investments. Furthermore, we believe in the idea of working on personal goals and improving ourselves constantly. We wish to give ideas and hands-on information to students on how this can be approached and achieved. We also offer opportunities for self-development, for example through voluntary work at our society. Lastly, we are a platform for current students to better get to know others at the university as well as connect to graduates who are still active. We teach about the importance of a personal and professional network and how it can be created and managed. Aside from internal seminars and lectures we continuously invite speakers and work together with professional companies and organisations to further the information, education and advice that we can offer. In January of 2017 we became a member of the "Bundesverband der Börsenvereine an deutschen Hochsulen e.V. (BVH)" the umbrella organisation for German non-profit student societies specialising in financial education. read more
