Company History It all started back in 1894 when Robert Joseph Fawcett founded Robert Fawcett Hay & Grain on a cobblestone stretch of the Inman Square neighborhood of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Committed to meeting the ever-evolving needs of his customers, Fawcett became one of the city’s largest coal dealers in the 1920’s and shifted to home heating oil as it gained popularity in the 1940’s.
