The mission of the European Airshow council is "to promote safety and excellence and Airshows." Membership of the company is ... open to display performers, organisers, Civil and Military Aviation Authorities, commentators, aviation journalists and others associated with or working in the Airshow Industry worldwide. Although primarilly a European organisation, membership includes representatives from the USA, Africa, South America, and the Middle East. The Council meets for an annual Convention in Brussels each year and delegates to that Convention enjoy membership for the following year. Those that cannot attend the Convention can be given membership by application. The EAC publishes the presentations of recent Conventions on its website and makes them available to members to download. A body of useful documents relevant to the Airshow world is also available to members. Primary objectives of the EAC are to spread best practice, apply "lessons Learnt", assist and advise members needing the experience and expertise of others and acting as a focal point to represent the Industry to the EU and regulatory bodies. The EAC does not regulate but it does encourage standardisation of procedures, guidance and regulations to actively promote safety at Airshows. The EAC encourages the formation of national Airshow organisations and is affiliated to those who accept its code of ethics. The EAC is also affiliated to ICAS; the organisation for Airshows in the USA and Canada. read more
