Engelska Skolor och Förskolor i Sverige have a total of three primary schools and four preschools. Our history begins in 1993 ... when Engelska Skolan Norr was founded as the first independent school in Sweden offering a bilingual program anchored in the framework of the Swedish school curriculum. We are driven by the conviction that different cultures enrich and strengthen us. Our intercultural perspective is reflected in our daily work and contributes to a strong value system for our children, students and staff. Our goal is to offer our children and students a sustainable education of a high quality since it is our strong belief that a good education is one of the determining factors for a good life. Our bilingual program is aimed at equipping our students for a bright future in an international environment. After receiving their schooling from us, our students have a solid grasp of English and Swedish in their oral and written communication. Our students in grade 9 are offered the possibility to take the Cambridge exam, which is the most recognized English exam accepted by universities all over the world, thereby opening doors for our students on a global level. Approximately half the teaching is done in English and our teachers speak both English and Swedish. Our teachers have a high level of education and many of them have a foreign teaching degree on top of their Swedish teaching licence.
