In the project eCARus about 60 students of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) develop an electric car. All the technica ... l fields, from power transmission systems to IT, as well as the organisation of the project are left up to the students. With great success: In June 2009 the project saw the light when work started with a simple space frame. Only 4 months later the Minister for Economic Affairs of Singapur being on a visit to our university was able to go for a test ride over the campus in our electric-engined eCARus 1.0! Since then our teams have never stopped developing the concept further and taking it for sure to the next level. Through hard work and a lot of motivation, the eCARus 2.0 was developed and increases the family in number with a second electric car.
