Many of these people vacation here for a week, maybe two, and though they have to leave, their thoughts remain on Eagle River. There are those who have gone a step further and established vacation homes so they can spend months in Eagle River instead of just days or weeks. And there are those who set their sights on making it their home when they retire and in fact have seen Eagle River named one of the Top 100 Places to Retire in the nation by Where to Retire Magazine. There are those businesses and entrepreneurs who are investing millions of dollars in capital improvements because they see Eagle River as the ideal home for their ventures and a great place for their employees and families.And of course there are those who have lived in Eagle River all their lives, some even making sacrifices to stay here because they can't imagine living anywhere else. Eagle River has a rich history and a bright future because it is "home" to so many. And home always has and always will have a special place in people's hearts.
