As we see the world around us changing, we have an opportunity to mold our district into something spectacular. The restauran ... ts and shops that surround us also define us. We are kind and accepting and different. At the DCBA, we strive to foster those qualities by supporting our member businesses through collaborative events and seasonal promotions. The District Division/Clinton considers all businesses, property owners, and others that do business in the SE between 12th and 50th Avenues and Lincoln to Taggert are eligible for membership. DCBA’s mission is to “Enliven the district by attracting new business and new visitors to this vibrant destination for dining, shopping and services; and develop and expand a blossoming creative center for business and recreation.” The Division Streescape Plan, formerly the Division Main Street Plan, began both the sewer upgrade and the Tabor to the River addition of street trees and bioswales on both Division and Clinton Streets last spring. Repaving is underway. Private developers created new mixed use buildings and brought in a wide variety of new retail businesses and service organizations. The present We have incredible restaurants. We have coffee shops and tea shops and wineries. We have new and repurposed clothing. We have flower and plant shops, hardware, bike sales and repair, and bars, lots of bars with craft beers. We have Bed and Breakfasts and AirB&Bs. We have physical and mental health clinics. We have food carts almost as famous as the restaurants. We have more coming as additional mixed use buildings are added. We have a map of all of this. Our Future The DCBA intends to continue supporting the businesses with events, marketing opportunities, our member map, and timely communication with the residents in all four abutting neighborhood associations. Our Meetings The DCBA meets on the third Tuesday of the month. See our website for the latest meeting updates. read more
