The earliest form of Divisi Strings, LLC began at the University of Houston in 2006. Four friends applied their individual talents to create “Divisi String Quartet.” The owner, Shelli Mathews soon had a larger vision in mind: a music entertainment company comprised of the most talented classical musicians given the freedom to perform at their highest levels. With an average performance schedule of 500+ engagements per year, Divisi Strings has serenaded guests for thousands of weddings, parties, showers, galas, proposals, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, recordings, concerts, film, non-profit organizations, and corporate events throughout Houston, Texas, and across the country.
