The Dean Group of Hotels is a family owned and operated group of five hotels, having purchased the London Tavern in January 2 ... 001, the Walkers Arms Hotel July 2002, the Largs Pier Hotel November 2004, the Mac’s Hotel in May 2010 and the Peninsula Hotel Motel (formerly the Boathouse Tavern) in 2020. Owner Timothy Dean has more than 23 years’ experience in the South Australian hotel industry, having previously owned a number of large hotels and accommodation venues across Adelaide. Group General Manager and Director Peter Johnson, who has been with the Dean Group for 20 years, comes from a hotel industry background of some 30+ years. Peter manages the day to day operations of the business and has vast experience having worked in and ultimately managed some of Adelaide’s finest pubs and restaurants. Rob Dean joined the Dean Group in 2013 as the Chief Financial Officer and Director after a career in Melbourne as a Chartered Accountant. Over 200+ staff are employed by the Dean Group (up to 250 during summer) and management pride themselves that all senior management and departmental heads have been employed for many years.
