Core specialist skills within the team include search management and techniques, emergency medicine, swift water rescue, search dogs and handlers and high-level rope access and rescue. DSRTP is associated with both Mountain Rescue England & Wales (MREW) and The Peninsula Mountain and Cave Rescue Association (Penmacra).
