CBS offers a communal setting where members conduct research, organize events, and consult businesses. Membership consists of students, faculty, and alumni. CBS concentrates on three core principles to bringing awareness to the CSUN community about the technology. First, CBS focuses on providing education to students and members of the San Fernando community through workshops and events with the purpose of teaching others about the fundamentals of blockchain. The second principle involves providing CBS members with the technical competencies needed to both understand and utilize blockchain technology in a practical manner. This will be achieved through training programs in which various blockchain infrastructure will be utilized for teaching and research purposes. The third principle focuses on bridging the gap between business and technology.
