I am honoured and delighted to be the Headteacher of Crestwood School and Sixth Form. I firmly believe that a good state educ ... ation is a right and not a privilege and this coupled with the shared Invictus vision that each and every one of our students irrespective of background or ability deserves access to the type of opportunities offered by the best the independent sector can offer is unique within our community. I am extremely proud, but not surprised, of our most recent Ofsted judgement of Good with Outstanding features (February 2018). A good school knows its strengths and weaknesses and it was wonderful for our staff and students to be recognised for all of their hard work and efforts over recent years. The vision that our community deserves to be served by at least a Good school has been realised but we refuse to rest on our laurels and our intention is to be consistently Outstanding when next inspected. Progress and attainment will always be paramount but never at the expense of a rich and inclusive education where students are at the centre of everything, are fully supported, valued and encouraged to go way beyond what they ever thought possible. At Crestwood we fully believe that anything is possible and whether that is within the realms of academia, on the sporting field, within the Arts or serving the wider community your son or daughter will have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Our culture of hard work, commitment and consistent approaches goes hand in hand with excellent teaching mutual respect and bags of enthusiasm. Our ethos is one of inclusivity and aspiration. Our determination to be the absolute best we can be is infectious. We proudly work in collaboration with parents, carers, our community, local/feeder primaries and other stakeholders. Your son/ daughter will be joining Crestwood at a very exciting time. read more
