Established in 1964, Craft Alliance provides inspiration and education in contemporary craft to a national community of artis ... ts, collectors, students and the art-viewing public. It does this through every creative stage by exhibiting artists' work, educating all levels of students, encouraging art collectors and offering free classes and family programs. The organization operated its headquarters location in The University City Loop from 1969-2020, providing exhibition space as well as art studios for the instruction of classes in the craft media. In 2020 the organization relocated to a larger facility in the emerging Delmar Maker District. This allowed the organization to reach a broader city population, increase programming and collaborate with neighboring arts organizations. Craft Alliance is a funded member of the Arts & Education Council of Greater St. Louis and receives support from the Regional Arts Commission, the Missouri Arts Council, individuals, corporations and foundations. read more
