The Corporate Governance Competence Centre at the University of St.Gallen aims at contributing to the national and internatio ... nal development of effective corporate governance practices in listed and non-listed companies and state-owned enterprises. We are dedicated to identifying effective institutional and business practices in the field of corporate governance. We do so by building a network of people from business circles, academia and politics both nationally and internationally. We are convinced that an interdisciplinary and international approach helps to enhance the corporate governance in many companies and thus serves the broader economy. An effective corporate governance framework is founded as much on soft law, best practice, evaluation, education and improvement as on hard law. We pursue an interdisciplinary approach and seek to work closely with other scholars and institutes from the School of Management and from the Law School of the University of St.Gallen, as well as other institutions. Das Corporate Governance Competence Centre der Universität St.Gallen möchte einen Beitrag leisten zur nationalen und internationalen Entwicklung wirkungsvoller Corporate Governance-Praktiken in börsenkotierten und nicht börsenkotierten Unternehmen sowie in Staatsunternehmen. Zu diesem Zweck bauen wir ein Netzwerk von Persönlichkeiten aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Politik im In- und Ausland auf. Wir sind überzeugt, dass ein interdisziplinärer und internationaler Ansatz dazu beiträgt, die Corporate Governance in vielen Unternehmen zu verbessern und damit der Gesamtwirtschaft zu dienen.
