The mission is to develop future methods and tools for image analysis and visualization for applications within health care and medical research. When CMIV was initiated, the vision was to gather all the components of medical imaging and visualization in one place. And at the same time create a whole new type of research environment where scientists, engineers, technicians and medical doctors could work close together with immediate access to the patients.
