Located just outside Brisbane in Dinmore, Ipswich, Claypave is a Queensland family-owned company that prides itself on personal service and exceptional products. Originally named Rylance Collieries and Brickworks, the company began operation in the 1880's, with Claypave’s current refractories plant being built at Dinmore near Ipswich in the 1930's. The business’s current owners took over manufacturing operations in 1985, and with that came some changes. Noticing a gap in options for consumers, the newly-named Claypave decided to focus primarily on manufacturing quality clay pavers, which proved so successful that they became the proud custodians of Australia’s very first dedicated state-of-the-art paving factory in 1988. Demand for these products continued to grow, and their second tunnel kiln and dryer was opened in 1994, which doubled production capacity and enabled Claypave to meet the increased demand for their products.
