Welcome to the CIPD South East of Scotland Branch We are very proud to be part of the CIPD - the Professional Body for HR who ... se mission is to champion better work and working lives - and we are incredibly proud of this local CIPD branch. It’s our role on the committee to contextualise the work of the CIPD and to respond to the needs of local HR professionals and businesses. We also contribute to the work of CIPD Scotland as well as supporting the wider activities of the CIPD nationally. The branch committee is a wonderful team of volunteers made up of local HR professionals and people who support our profession. We are grateful to every one of them for the support and dedication these busy people give to the branch. Our primary focus is on making the biggest impact for our members and a key part of our strategy sees us working in partnership with local professional bodies, academic institutions and employers to support us in our activities. This year we’ve focused on using technology more effectively to engage with more of our members and to adopt a more flexible approach to the way we deliver our services. We've re-engaged with established HR professionals who have not recently taken advantage of our CIPD branch proposition and also welcomed new people to the Branch; through our strategic partnerships with our local universities and colleges we invite student ambassadors to join the committee; and after a very successful first event in June this year we’ll continue to develop our re-energised HR Leaders’ network. In our ambition to support the continuing professional development of local members, we are extremely lucky to have committee members who represent the complete range of HR activities across the CIPD Profession Map.
