Our Story CHOICES is a not-for-profit charity located in Dundas, Ontario. We support and assist adults with developmental dis ... abilities to pursue opportunities to actively participate in their community and to be a full fledged community member. CHOICES offers a wide range of supports which include group homes, supported independent living, family home programs and we emphasize independence and social inclusion. Our Beginnings CHOICES grew from a parent’s meeting of students attending Glenwood School in Ancaster concerned for the lack of services for people with developmental disabilities in Wentworth County. With the initial support of the Rotary Club of Waterdown, an information campaign was launched and the organization was incorporated in June of 1981. In 1982, a building on Ofield Road South was purchased to provide an adult day program. Funding was a joint project by the Rotary Clubs of Dundas, Waterdown and Ancaster. What began as a life skills day program for a few individuals has grown to a wide range of day programs and residential support services for adults with developmental disabilities.
