The legendary Cherry Hills Country Club has hosted 12 major tournaments during its storied 93 year history and is perennially ... listed in the Top 100 clubs in the United States. The Club hosted the 1960 US Open which many golf historians consider to be one of golf's best ever tournaments that produced Arnold Palmer's only US Open win against the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan. Palmer stormed back on the final round making birdie on 6 of the first 7 holes and with Ben Hogan's bogey on 17 & 18 Palmer won his first and only US Open.
