I was taught at a very young age to eat with your eyes and not with your stomach. Needless to say, I have come to food stylin ... g from an unorthodox route. While attending the University of Miami, I worked at the grand hotels on Miami Beach where food was showcased as great works of art. Food was more exciting to me than the great works of art at The Louvre in Paris, France. The colors, the taste…oh what a wonderful medium for art! As a magazine publisher for a culinary magazine, I had the opportunity to serve on the Atlanta Art Institute of Art Culinary School advisory committee. I have judged food cook off’s and competitions and serve on the Olympic cooking teams with international chefs. I became considerately aware of the importance of ‘the presentation’ on the plate and the tricks of propping the presentation. Since then my production skills have taken me from farm to table, from kitchen to set, working with chef’s, small and large, food companies and advertising agency’s bringing good looking images that savor the eye and stimulate the taste to all that gaze upon my work. I have worked in all media forms from stills, TV, video and film. read more
