Centro Sperimentale del Latte (CSL) was founded in 1948 by Dr Leo Vesely to study and increase the value of lactic acid bacte ... ria (LAB) and other food-grade microorganisms. CSL was the first Italian company to study and demonstrate the importance of LAB cultures in humans. In 2013, CSL was aquired by the Verga family who also own Caglificio Clerici and Sacco.
