The Centro companies are subsidiaries of the Central New York Regional Transportation Authority (CNYRTA). This Authority, for ... med in 1971 by the State legislature, was empowered to operate public transportation in the seven counties of Cayuga, Cortland, Jefferson, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga and Oswego. Currently, the counties of Onondaga, Cayuga, Oswego and Oneida are members of the CNYRTA. Centro is supported through a fare received for our service and matching funds obtained from County, State, and Federal governments. The Centro system currently includes five transit companies: CNY Centro, Inc. in Syracuse, Centro of Cayuga, Inc. in Auburn, Centro of Oswego, Inc in Oswego, Centro of Oneida, and Centro Call-A-Bus, Inc.
