The School District Central Greene School District became a merged district in 1962 when the Borough of Waynesburg and the to ... wnships of Perry, Whiteley, Franklin, Wayne and Washington agreed to the jointure. The district operates one elementary school K-5, one middle school 6-8 and one senior high school 9-12. The Community Central Greene School District is located about 50 miles south of Pittsburgh and 20 miles north of Morgantown, WV, with convenient access to I-79.
