The Center for Supply Chain Excellence is a vital hub within the Farmer School of Business, working with the Supply Chain and ... Operations Management (SCOM) program to foster student engagement, corporate partnerships, and cutting-edge research. For our corporate partners, the CSCE is a “one stop shop” for access to fresh talent, faculty research, and knowledge-sharing industry forums. The SCOM program in the Farmer School of Business is one of the fastest growing programs in the country, and consistently ranked in the Top 25 Supply Chain programs by Gartner. We are uniquely positioned at Miami University which has a focus on undergraduate education, yet simultaneously supports leading edge research. Because of our balanced focus on teaching and research, our SCOM program is ranked first for research among public universities without PhD programs. We have invested significant resources in enhancing the student experience, partnering with businesses and potential employers, and supporting research to expand knowledge in supply chain management. We have a select group of corporate partners who support our program not only in their targeted recruiting efforts, but through experiential learning & class projects, executive speaker engagement, and research opportunities. Student activities include involvement in the Supply Chain Management Association, case competitions, and several uniquely positioned study abroad and study away programs focused on specialized and global supply chain management. We seek to grow our network of students, alumni, and corporate partners to continue to enhance student and faculty development, support outstanding teaching and research, & grow the impact of our supply chain & operations management students & alumni in a quickly growing and critical field.
