We provide educational opportunities ... for girls, mentor youth and women leaders, and support entrepreneurs to accelerate their businesses. We promote gender equality, human rights, democracy, civic participation, and workforce development which has directly impacted over 186,000 people in East Africa. Through our work with proximate leaders, the private sector, other civil society organizations, and government agencies we are able to create equitable and inclusive eco-systems where youth and women can thrive. Our three flagship projects provide targeted solutions to the problems that face African youth today. PLUS+AFRICA Linkubator is a Leadership, Employment, and Entrepreneurship project that aims to create employment pathways for 1 million youth in Africa by 2030 through holistic work-based learning, mentorship, entrepreneurship education, and business incubation. The Rising Stars Mentoring Program works through girls mentoring clubs, teachers' empowerment, edutainment, and school-based businesses to build young women's self-confidence and gain work-readiness and leadership skills. The Youth Engaged Program runs a Muslim youth center to prevent radicalization, violent extremism and gender-based violence in Kawempe slums in Kampala, The center provides youth with a safe space, and sense of community and purpose to participate in peace and tolerance efforts in communities including inter-religious dialogues for social cohesion and social inclusion. read more
