Cecil’s proximity to Philadelphia, Baltimore, Newark, and Wilmington, provides easy access to metropolitan and suburban areas. Cecil County is on the MARC train line. Cecil offers excellent community life, strong neighborhood schools, the opportunities presented by growth, and extraordinary natural beauty. Cecil County Public Library system (“CCPL”) has seven branches. CCPL is feeling the pressure of rapid community growth and has developed plans for expansion of its services and facilities. CCPL has a history of exceptionally strong programming for adults, children, and young adults. CCPL uses the SirsiDynix automation system, has full Internet access, and uses the iBistro web catalog. Its Central Library, based in Elkton is 25,000 sq. ft. and includes a 4,000 sq. ft. enclosed children’s room.
