The CCi TV Channel was launched in 2009, and our prime mission is to provide a visible platform to exhibit media work produce ... d within the University of Portsmouth. The TV studio and broadcast equipment reside within the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCi), and the day to day running of the TV channel is the responsibility of staff and students of the course BSc (Hons) Television and Broadcasting. Although CCi TV operates under the banner of Higher Education, it is no different than any other major broadcaster, apart from the fact that students are involved in producing most of the Live TV content, and other university students and/or staff (you for example) can contribute with other content that can be broadcast. CCi TV operates a strict broadcasting code, and we take the responsibility of acknowledging copyright law very seriously. We also strive to broadcast and schedule acceptable TV content at an hour that most would agree suitable. The TV Channel thrives on enthusiasm, a desire to inform and entertain, and we sincerely wish to collaborate with anybody that would like to get involved. Our aims are straightforward and simple; we want to broadcast student and staff work, and we want to contribute to an exciting student experience. read more
