Today, CCARC is a private, nonprofit (501 c 3) organization offering an array of services to support adults with intellectual disabilities and their families. Each one of us understands how important it can be to have meaningful work, enjoyable social activities, worthwhile friendships and a stable, nurturing home life. People with intellectual disabilities treasure the very same hopes and dreams. It is our privilege to assist in paving the way for individuals with intellectual disabilities to experience a life that is satisfying in all of these most basic ways. We also offer opportunities to experience the fulfillment of their dreams. These may include pursuing interests or hobbies, fun trips or activities, visits with family or having a job in the community. CCARC’s Vision is “To Provide Personalized Services for People with Disabilities.” Over the years, CCARC has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience offering services to people with a myriad of disabilities. Currently, we provide support to nearly 200 individuals in our Day, Residential, Recreation and Advocacy Services, many of whom have dual disabilities and other challenges. CCARC adheres to a person-centered philosophy where the needs and interests of the individuals and families it serves are paramount. Each person’s health, safety and overall well-being are of primary importance, as is their personal dignity and preferences.
