CAVE’s mission is to provide Chico State students with meaningful volunteer opportunities, to develop student leaders, and to serve a broad base of community needs. Our philosophy is the community should be a classroom for hands-on learning, and our motto is “Life is for Learning.” Established in 1966, our student-run programs serve children, older adults, people experiencing homelessness as well as working on environmental projects and with local animal shelters.
