To this end, we are committed to offering affordable, informative and innovative online safety training to reach as many young workers as possible. Based on current statistics, young workers, ages 16-24, continue to have the highest rates of work related injuries and illnesses; greater than any other age group. Not being knowledgeable of hazards related to a specific job or knowing how to assess and correct a problem can lead to devastating injuries or even death to a young worker. CareerSafe® was founded on a simple principle, “No job is worth a young worker’s life.” Today, CareerSafe® is used as part of the Career and Technical Education curriculum in over 4,000 educational institutions located in all fifty states. In 2012, we launched “A Million Safer” initiative to train over one million young workers on workplace safety practices by the end of 2017. In December 2017, CareerSafe® achieved this milestone. In August 2018, CareerSafe® signed a National Alliance with the Department of Labor/OSHA to expand safety and health awareness training outreach to young workers across the nation.
