A full-time, stable staff, our anesthesiologists are expert in the day-to-day administration of all types of anesthesia; cardiothoracic, neurosurgical, orthopedic, regional, and pediatric, as well as intensive/critical care. We manage five state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary pain management centers, one outpatient surgical center and one outpatient endoscopy center which are part of the Steward Health Care Network and the Atrius Health/Harvard Vanguard network. CAP Anesthesia is a vibrant, active participant in the educational and training program of the Steward Healthcare network. Most professional members of the Department hold an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine ranging from Clinical Instructor to full Professor. The Department has a long history of achieving excellence in the training of medical students, residents, and fellows. We have ACGME-accredited fellowships in Pain Medicine (three positions) and Cardiothoracic Anesthesia (two positions).
