Gatineau Zone is the third largest zone in Canada, with over 300 patrollers who act as First Responders serving our 9 local ski areas. Our mission is to promote safety and injury prevention and provide the highest possible standards of education, certification and delivery of first aid and rescue services. The Canadian Ski Patrol was founded in 1941 and now has over 4,500 volunteer members throughout Canada. It actively patrols 225 ski stations from coast to coast. Activities of the organization’s 63 zone presidents and 9 division presidents are coordinated by the National Board of Directors which constitutes the management committee responsible for administering this Ottawa-based organization. The CSP is known for the quality and professionalism of its members. The CSP trains patrollers in Downhill (ski & snowboard) and Nordic (telemarking & cross country).
