The Canadian Council on International Law (CCIL) was established in 1972 in order to promote the co-operative study and analy ... sis of international legal problems by scholars in universities and by professionals in government service and private practice. Incorporated federally as a non-profit organization, the CCIL is an independent, non-partisan entity which relies financially on membership fees paid by its members, as well as donations or grants from individuals, corporations, foundations and governments. Contributions to the Council and membership fees are deductible from taxable income in Canada. CCIL has grown into an organisation with over 400 members from within Canada and around the world, representing a wide range of interests and professions. It provides numerous resources to this international legal community. __________ Le Conseil canadien de droit international (CCDI) fut créé en 1972 afin de promouvoir l’étude et l’analyse coopérative des problèmes de droit international par des universitaires ainsi que des professionnels de la fonction publique et de la pratique privée. Incorporée au niveau fédéral en tant qu’organisme à but non-lucratif, le CCDI est une organisation indépendante et non-partisane dont le financement provient des cotisations de ses membres en plus des dons ou subventions d’individus, de corporations, de fondations et d’organismes gouvernementaux. Au Canada, les contributions au CCDI et les frais d’adhésion sont déductibles du revenu imposable.
