It involves several engaging joint crises that bring together delegates from around the world in working together to resolve each crisis. What makes BUCS different? Our conference focuses on joint crises. Rather than autonomous committees discussing a set and unchangeable topic, crisis committees have delegates simulate a past or future event by taking on the role of one of the decision makers. As in real life, the situation is constantly evolving: you will be updated about new and unforeseen developments and will have to respond to them. Success in a crisis requires wit, strategy, and tactful diplomacy. Compared to "traditional" committees, crisis committees are smaller and more fast-paced. Delegates also have to react to the decisions of other delegates, including those in different committees.
