Having evolved out of the NHS in 2011, to be a Community Interest Company (CIC) and part of the growing social enterprise movement, Bristol Community Health remains a provider of NHS funded care. Our work covers a wide range of community services in Bristol, but we also provide offender health in South Gloucestershire and Diabetic Retinopathy Screening in Bath and North East Somerset. We operate more than 40 services, ranging from dermatology, district nursing and dietetics to prison healthcare, physiotherapy and palliative care, through to walk-in-centres and wound care. Some of our services can be accessed directly by patients, while others require a referral from a GP or other healthcare professional. We employ more than 1700 staff, the majority of whom are highly skilled front-line clinicians.
